To mark Miffy's 70th birthday this year, I was commissioned by Mercis bv to design a Miffy Cube Calendar.
This calendar features six quotes from Dick Bruna and 90 different Miffy illustrations. The clear lines and bold colors of Dick Bruna's often moving drawings are particularly effective in this compact calendar.
The Miffy Cube Calendar is printed in the special Bruna colors. These are inks that were mixed especially for him. Because he loved warm red, some orange was mixed in. He didn't want the yellow to be too cool, so a little more red was added to make it warmer.
This version of The Cube Calendar was made specifically for Mercis BV's business relations and is not for sale.
